The Stratum team did a terrific job lifting our family room addition to our home. Cody and is team were excellent and kept us informed of all the tasks that they were performing. The lift that was needed was significant but the team was successful in their goals.
We had Kyle come out after the work was complete to do some clean up due to our difficult neighbor making complaints. Kyle handled the situation perfectly and did a great job in quieting our neighbor.
I highly recommend this company to anyone

I can't recommend Stratum Structural Systems highly enough. When I called them out to look at a large void under my front porch and a sunken sidewalk, they easily could have sold me on a costly repair. Instead, they took the time to walk me through the underlying issues in detail, recommended a different approach, and turned down the job altogether. It's rare to find a contractor with this kind of integrity.

Tim @ Stratum is a fantastic person to interact with. I had to hold on moving forward due to other home repairs taking precedent but I would feel very confident moving forward with Stratum when ready. He answered tons of questions, followed up consistently and made me feel like a top priority. Rare level of customer service to find these days!

Stratum is legitimately the only foundation company you need to do business with. We were having issues with a cracked and moving basement wall and Scott (shout-out to him, he was awesome) came out multiple times to diagnose the issue. He sat down with us and explained exactly what the issue was and what available options there were to fix it. No high-pressure sales tactics. No trying to upsell or tack on unnecessary services. They just provided the best overall solution for our problem.
They were the only company we got a quote from that explained the engineering, not only about what was wrong with the wall but how it got to the point in the first place. Every other company we talked to basically just said “You have crack, we fix.” The fact that they took the time to have that conversation and gave us a detailed explanation showed us that they will go above and beyond for their customers.
From start to finish the work they did was great and professional, even taking the time to clean up after themselves. Before all of this I was completely unaware about the world of foundation companies. Let’s just say that it seems like most of them are just out for a quick buck and don’t care if the work they are providing actually fixes the problem. Stratum was the complete opposite of that. They were only interested in doing the job right.
No one wants to have to deal with foundation issues but having Stratum take care of ours gave us much needed peace of mind and confidence in the structural integrity of our home. There really is no other reason to use another company. I cannot recommend them enough.

I will update this review after a year. We had a tiny bit of water come into the basement. Had stratum come out to install a sump pump with drain system in the corner of the basement water was coming from. When they were out and dug the hole for the drainage they told us the bad news that our house footing was separating from the house, We had to also get 3 piers installed it more than doubled the cost of the project. We are in St Charles county and they didn't get a county inspection which is needed for piers. They made it right however and had the county come out and inspect the work through photos they had taken luckily without re digging anything. I believe they did a good job and made sure I was happy with the work. I have no idea if over 12 grand for this kind of work was a good deal but I am happy they found the problem before it could become a bigger problem later.

I had the holy trifecta of a team with Stratum. Craig came out after a really bad storm and walked me through my options. I've had negative experiences with other foundation companies, warranty calls, cracks that still leak, etc. Craig explained their process, walked me through options, and I ultimately decided on a crack repiar + waterproofing system with sump.
Brandon came out first and did the crack repairs. A big rain came right after he finished, and what do you know, no water!
Keith and the waterproofing crew show up a few weeks later and do the waterproofing job. This was a messy job with digging out concrete, installing a sump, and putting everything back together. Everything was clean and neat after they were done.
Fast forward a week or two after the waterproofing system is installed. Sustained rain for a week with heavy rains and intermittent thunderstorms (midwest living!) and no water in my basement at all! The sump was pumping out water regularly so I know I made the right decision and Craig didn't lead me wrong. Between the crack repair and waterproofing system, I have peace of mind. Even if the sump fails (dual pump system + battery backup, so unlikely!) I know the crack repairs can hold down the fort temporarily while it gets repaired. Thanks, Stratum!

Today we had our patio jacked up. They did a great job. They were very friendly, professional and explained everything to us as to what they were going to do. They were on time and did the job within the time frame they thought it would take. Afterwards they cleaned everything up as it was. They are very reasonable and would recommend them for their work.
Matt Wittman came out to inspect an existing egree window. Matt gave us several contacts to get the window addressed with conservative treatment rather than jumping straight into new window installation. It’s extremely rare to have a company recommend cheaper options rather than wasting homeowners money on services they don’t need. I would recommend Matt and his company to anyone. We will definitely be using them in the future for our basement needs.
I just had Stratum Structural Systems out to fix my basement, and honestly I could not be happier with how everything turned out. They put in soldier beams to sure up the walls and sealed up all the cracks that had been concerning/bothering me for years. The crew worked fast, they were super polite, and did a great job on clean up (all hard to find these days)!
But the real star of the whole thing was their sales rep, Matthew Wittman. This guy is seriously top notch. From the moment he walked in, he had this friendly face and calm vibe that made me feel like everything was going to be ok. He explained the whole process in a way that actually made sense to me, even though I dont know anything about foundation work. His knowledge and customer service were honestly some of the best I have ever seen.
Matthew never rushed me, answered every single question I threw at him, and made sure I felt good about the plan before anything started. By the end I felt more like I was working with a trusted partner, not a sales rep, who knew what he was talking about instead of a trying to get a deal. Everything he promised actually got done how he said it would.
Stratum Structural Systems is the real deal. My basement walls look better, feel stronger, and I finally have some peace of mind. I would recommend them to anybody who needs foundation work done.
Five stars is not enough for Matt and the Stratum Team, they deserve a whole galaxy!

We just wrapped up our project with Stratum and we would highly recommend the company to anyone that needs repair work. From beginning to end it was a pleasure working with everyone on the team. We had a pretty big hiccup right before the project started with our neighbor giving approval for our project but we worked back and forth with Matt and the company and we were able to move forward with the project seamlessly. Matt gave us confidence that we could get it all figured out which is really what you need when working with a company. He made us feel like our situation was important and didn't give up on figuring out different ways to make it work for our situation. Some companies would have just cut ties and moved on. Again, everyone we worked with was polite and did great work. We had lots and lots of huge tree roots that required a lot of extra hours and manual digging and they did great work. You could tell they wanted to do the job right and weren't rushing or taking shortcuts. Since we just wrapped up the project, we obviously don't know just yet how things will hold up but we are confident that they did a wonderful job to fix our foundation issues and if something were to go wrong, we know we could contact them to address any concerns. We highly recommend Stratum.
